Food Font Images – Being Used Around the World

1000 Thanks Certificate - made of Food Font letters

Every month we get a request from someone who wants to know when the Food Font tool will be done, or from someone who has found the Food Font image gallery and would like to use the images.

Some examples of how Food Font images have been used  include:

  • by a volunteer in the clinical nutrition services department at a hospital who made a banner for “registered dietitian day March 12th 2013”
  • by a chef studying at a private school in Turkey who was making a fanzine about the kitchen, and wanted to use Food Font letters for the title of the zine.
  • by a garden society (Allotment Society) in the U.K. who used Food Font as a title on their website
  • by a Danish food bank, who collects surplus food from large food suppliers and deliver it to others  who often do not have access to fresh healthy nutrition.   They did a holiday campaign and wanted to thank their sponsors and partners for helping them deliver 1000 tons of food with a printed 1000 tak (1000 thanks), written in Food Font letters.

We recently emailed everyone who inquired about using the images, and asked for images of the Food Font images in use.   Updates and images will be posted here once we get them.

Currently the Food Font Design Tool is in development, and we are excited to move the project into the next phase and beta test the tool.

Food Font is an art project where people can make alphabets out of food, take pictures of each letter, and later use these and other food alphabets to create images and other creative projects.
